Carnatic Vocal syllabus
- 1. Complete the prescribed Sarali Varisais.
- 2. Complete Jantai Varisais.
- 3. Practice Madhya Sthayi, Tara Sthayi, and other prescribed foundational exercises.
- 4. Demonstrate the ability to sing the prescribed Varisais in three speeds.
- 5. Develop familiarity with Adi Tala and basic rhythmic coordination.
- 6. Learn and perform at least 3 songs.
- 7. Demonstrate improved pitch stability, rhythm, and vocal control.
Completion requirement
Development of Swara and Rhythm This level focuses on strengthening vocal accuracy, rhythm, and control through systematic practice of Carnatic swara exercises. Expected outcome: The student can perform foundational Varisais in three speeds and sing at least three songs with reasonable accuracy.
Carnatic Violin shares this certification level. Violin-specific syllabus and completion requirements will be published separately.
